この度、ヴァニラ画廊では漫画家カネコアツシの初原画展を開催いたします。
カネコはデビュー以来、漫画作品「BAMBi」、「SOIL」、「Wet
Moon」、「デスコ」を始めとした、多くの傑作を発表し続け、またイラストレーターとしても活躍しています。
画面の中に緻密に構成された作画は、ダイナミックな構図の中に、バイオレンスとエレガンスを内包するグラフィカルな作風、そして実験的かつエンタテイメント、不条理に彩られ、真理をつくストーリーテリングで国内外の多くの熱狂的なファンを魅了し続けています。
今展示では、デビュー作原画から展覧会の為の描き下ろし最新作まで一挙大公開！
また、アナログ制作からデジタル制作まで、これまで手がけた仕事を俯瞰する展示構成により、その唯一無二の世界観に迫ります。
作品販売（展示物一部）や展覧会グッズ、人形作家によるオマージュ作品も有り！会期中にはトークイベントも開催予定です。

Vanilla Gallery is proud to present the first exhibition of
original drawings by a manga artist Atsushi Kaneko.since his
debut, Kaneko has published a number of manga titles, including
“BAMBi”, “SOIL”, “Wet Moon”, and “Deathco”. He is also active as
an illustrator.his finely worked-out drawings in the picture
continue to captivate enthusiastic fans, both domestic and
international, with a graphical style based on dynamic
compositions in which violence and elegance coexist and
experimental but also entertaining and absurd storytelling that
reveals truth.
In this exhibition, a broad range of his works, from original
drawings of his debut work to new works specifically created for
the exhibition, are presented all at once! a display
configuration providing an overview of Kaneko’s past works,
including both analog and digital productions, offers a great
introduction to his unique world-view.Some works that are part
of exhibitions are available for sale, and there will also be
original exhibition goods and homage works by a doll artist! A
talk event is also planned during the exhibition period. don’t

マンガ家。著作「BAMBi」「SOIL」「Wet Moon」「デスコ」など。
最新作は手塚治虫「どろろ」のトリビュート作品「サーチアンドデストロイ」(マイクロマガジン社「テヅコミ」連載)。
イラストレーターとしてもCDジャケットなど数多くの作品を手掛ける。
オムニバス映画「乱歩地獄」の一編「蟲」(原作/江戸川乱歩 主演/浅野忠信)では脚本、監督も務めた。
著作はフランス語、イタリア語、スペイン語、ドイツ語に翻訳され、出版されている。

L’IMAGINAIREマンガ部門グランプリ受賞。アングレーム国際漫画祭2012、2013、2015ノミネート。「デスコ」文化庁メディア芸術祭2015審査委員推薦作品選出。
Japanese manga artist working on alternative style.
He has created a number of comics such as “BAMBi”, “SOIL”, “Wet
Moon”, “Deathco”, while he’s been actively working as an
illustrator. He has also done movie director for an omnibus film
“Rampo Noir”.
Almost his series to be published in France, Italy,
Spain,Germany., and “Wet Moon” won the grand prix of Asia Award
by the Association of Critics and Journalists of Comics in
France.
Also “SOIL” won Grand Prix de l’Imaginare in 2012, given by the
festival Etonnants Voyageurs de St-Malo.
And “Deathco” selected jury selections of Japan Media Arts
Festival 2016.

トークのお相手に、長年親交のある寺田克也先生をお招きし、作品に対する想い、制作秘話等を語ります。
